My family and I went here after my toddler's heart checkup at a local hospital. The Vegan menu was packed with options. I ordered the vegan blueberry pancake usual with the hot link, hash browns and tofu eggs. The pancakes stole the show! That said, everything on my plate was delish. And the apple juice my toddler had tasted so fresh. My toddlers shared a regular vegan pancake usual and they loved it! They had such a good portion that they ate this for another meal later that day. I highly recommend Millie's.

Wow! That was my first reaction to Millie's. Reading the reviews, I was apprehensive. People are such complainers, aren't we? We expect every single perfect detail wherever we go these days. That's the "royal we". I don't. But I absolutely adored Millie's anyway. There was only a ten minute wait and we were welcomed to a nice four-seat table at the window. It was cheerful, bright and clean in the little (and only real) indoor dining area. Lots of tables were filled outside, though. Millie's is smaller than I imagined based on the size of the menu. OMG, that menu! A breakfast/brunch dreamscape. Soooo many vegetarian and vegan options. The four of us absolutely loved ours. Two people got the Slutty Bun, one person got The Usual and one got Eggs Benedict. You can get just about any dish on the what, 8-page menu, made with various proteins, vegetarian, vegan or carnivorous. We each had lattes: one regular, one Pistachio, one Blue Majik, and one Date Cardamom (see my pictures). They were all smooth and elegant. We had four servers, our main being the very patient and efficient Abraham. I say that because we were oohing and aahing over the choices for a good ten minutes while he stood there, helping but not rushing us. Being a city mouse, I felt right at home at Millie's. I love the unpretentious, down-home, upbeat, bustling vibe that spills out. We just plain ole had fun and then ordered things to take home. I gasped when the bill came, it was sooo reasonable. Then we headed across the street for some shopping, chattering every step of the way about Millie's and how we all couldn't wait to go back. And we will. Soon!

My friend had mentioned that this was one of their favorite breakfast/brunch spots and was shocked that I had never been/they had never taken me. So, today, 3/23/24, I finally got it to try it. My friend and I arrived around 10:15am and it was super busy, which was nice so then I knew it was popular. We did not have to wait too long for a table as they were turning them over very quick. We set outside and it was a little rainy but not too bad and they had heaters. They do also have indoor but it is more first come, first serve for seating. Since my friend had been their like 20+ times and I had already researched what I wanted, we ordered immediately. The order: *HEAVENLY HASH (Homemade Corned Beef Hash with two eggs (any style). Served with a side of potatoes, and either a biscuit OR toast) *STRAWBERRY, BANANA & NUTELLA WAFFLE )Belgian Waffle topped with sliced strawberries, sliced bananas, a drizzled Nutella chocolate, and powdered sugar) -This is what my friend ordered *HEALTHY GREEN BURRITO (Scrambled Egg Whites, spinach, and white cheddar cheese; all wrapped in a spinach tortilla. Topped with guacamole and salsa verde. Served with a side of fruit) -What I ordered. It was definitely a nice portion and filling. I got it without the cheese to save some calories. -Was not totally worth the $16+ I paid and have had similar with more stuff inside for a bit cheaper. Parking: *They do not have their own lot and lots near by say you will be towed if you park there for this place. My friend told me to park at the 99c store but I was concerned due to the signs. There is quite a bit of street parking but you have to pay so drive around into the residential side streets and you will find free parking. Just be aware that come are on major hills and they it scary to park. I may or may not be back. Depends on pricing.

Somehow got in without waiting on a weekend. A lovely breakfast spot! I got the breakfast meal (with a gluten free pancake that was DELICIOUS. Will return just to also try the GF waffles.) Boyfriend got a patty melt. Iced latte was pretty run of the mill. Might skip next time and get from a coffee shop instead! Parking can be tough but the 99c store lot is usually empty so go there Will return!

Breakfast/brunch all day with a nice gritty diner vibe. Love the Tex-Mex flair in addition to breakfast staples. Huge portions, so arrive hungry. Chilaquiles w/ Machaca: Breakfast nachos, need I say more? I'm a big fan of chilaquiles, so was excited to see them be one of the more popular items here. Huge portion! Lots of flavor. Enjoyed the add-on machaca to make it meaty and feel a little like loaded nachos. Lots of egg too, though I wish they mixed them in evenly instead of putting a blob on top. Only technical issue with the dish was that they could have used thicker tortilla chips, since they got a little soggy partway through the meal. Devil's Mess: A scramble with lots of personality and huge portion! So many nice spices in the egg mess. Ordered the hash browns and they did not disappoint. Crispy thin shreds, instead of those blocks you get at fast food restaurants. The fluffy biscuit was nice too, but it was so much food I barely got to appreciate the biscuit.
